The Eldritch Void exists on the astral edge, a place of immense power, steeped in ancient magic and shrouded in mystery. It is said that the altar serves as a gateway to the outer reaches of reality, allowing those who know the proper rituals and sacrifices to call upon deities or abominations beyond mortal comprehension. The altar itself is a massive structure, intricately carved with ancient symbols and adorned with glittering gems and precious metals. Its true purpose and origins are unknown, but those who dare to approach it do so with a mix of awe and terror, knowing that the power that surges from it could grant them unimaginable power or lead them to their doom.
