The ancient mana leech, Ixal, always hungry for power, has been searching for a new host to sustain it for years—leading its quest to Fartruth University. Getting inside wasn’t easy, but the cunning creature devised a plan, exploiting the unwitting aid of a desperate young apprentice eager to win the headmistress’s favor.
