I made this really fun Dark Fantasy Island Generator, where you drop a bunch of dice on a piece of paper, track it with a pencil, and it makes an island, complete with landmarks, denizens, and even a name. Over the course of the year, I carried around a little sketch book, and when it was slow at the convention booth, I'd draw stuff in it.
To accompany the Generator and inspire you, I've included some island maps, which I've given the finishing touches in four different styles: Original, Dark, "Old Book", and Black & White. Some of these were made with this generator, and a couple were even made by kids at Gamehole Con!
The Dark Fantasy Island Generator is presented in Foundry as a roll table to generate results in one click. Sound and lighting has been added to all maps that make sense to do so, and a hex grid scaled to best fit each illustration. Global lighting is on. Walls are being used for sound barriers only (large sound library included). Each map is also provided as a player handout.
