Tom Cartos – Canyon Outpost

This module provides the Canyon Outpost Map Pack by Tom Cartos.

Included are 12 maps,  an original music track by Tabletop RPG Music, and a labelled key and design notes journal for DMs.

Maps are pre-configured with walls and lighting to be game-ready, so you can jump right in to use them for your next adventure.

In order to travel from the eastern freehold to the desert in the north, parties must either find a way to cross the mountain range that divides the northern half of the continent from the south, or travel through the single canyon pass.

Less than a decade prior, passage was relatively simple and routine, but since the young emperor’s coronation all travel to the northern lands has been stopped, all borders closed both in and out.

The Norsgard outpost marks the end of the freehold lands, and the edge of the Emperor’s reach. Despite there being little traffic for the last few years, the commander has kept the watch well trained and vigilant. Little has changed for them, only now their job is to keep people in more than out. Passage through is only possible with a letter from the Emperor or her ministers, and none have been awarded in years.

The party needs to travel to the north to follow their current quest and redirecting to cross or go under the mountains would add weeks of perilous travel to their journey. Squalls of incredibly strong winds funnelled down the canyon make flight almost impossible, and the walls of the canyon quickly become sheer, unclimbable rock face. Can they find a way to gain passage unharmed?
